Changes the Relationship

Any decision you make can impact another person, Remembering how participating in internet infidelity will affect the ones you love will help to avoid it altogether.

Women who find out about infidelity can suffer from extreme depressive episodes and feel strong feelings of anger, depression, shame, isolation, betrayal, etc. In fact women who experience a marital partner’s infidelity are six times as likely to be diagnosed with a major depressive episode.

Similarly, men who experience infidelity may experience severe jealousy, negative affects, and exhibit aggressive sexual behaviors.

Ultimately, infidelity can have serious consequences in relationships and can lead to break ups or divorces. One study showed that 22% of participants who found out about infidelity in their relationship divorced or separated as a result. Once again, social networking has shown increases in such. In fact, in 2008, 20% of divorce cases mentioned Facebook and in 2011 that number rose to 33%

Millennials have been coined as one of the most understanding and giving generations. We, as humans, have natural empathy for others and with that we owe them respect.
