Pop Culture Kryptonite

Every Monday night at 9 PM is my downfall. As soon as I am done with dinner I run to the television to make sure I don't miss a thing. My biggest pop culture weakness is the Bachelor/Bachelorette on ABC. It is desperate and wild and I love it. My sister, mother, and I have watched for years and we have always bonded over it. The women/men who appear on the show are so far gone from reality that it baffles me. Essentially, they go one live TV to “find love” with a man/woman who they have never met. There’s always one contestant who acts out yet stays throughout the whole season. The whole show is incredibly scripted and has situations that are set up only for the viewer’s entertainment that would never happen in real life. Even though these flaws of the show are obvious and clear to every viewer even if they do not follow the show religiously, I still love it. Every episode of the show has new and unnecessary drama and I, and many other viewers nationwide, absolutely love it. The Bachelor/Bachelorette will have my attention every Monday night until it is off the air, no question.
